Tequila

She was willing to risk it all,
She was ready to give in her all,
She was unsure, ahe waa uncertain,
She remembered how he had said,
“If the world was ending I’d hit my favourite spot,
Sit lonely and take tequila shots,
Knowing I’ll leave the world with no regrets,
Except having loved you,
I was with you but you never were really mine,
I held you in my arms and still felt lonely,
You were mine but i really never had you,
I drown in the tequila knowing your love was as drowsy as it,

Dissipated

The ocean would be heavy,
And I’d smile knowing i would die a free man”
She regretted not having been there,
She was in despair now that the world was faced with a formidable opponent,
She was at crossroads, knowing if she said the wrong things,
There was no going back, she also took the tequila route,
She wished as the fear dissipated may be his soul would be at peace with her,
It was just but a lonely thought.

Magnificent

It does hurt to be human, for with trust, comes ache and with respect comes pressure, she was looking resplendent, her magnificent, subtle, Beautiful face, fair and pretty, she was a goddess patrolling her beauty kingdom, her majestic silhouette, the shadow of her legs, she was illuminating with joy and happiness and I couldn’t deny that, I had to make a move, she was hesitant, she was expectant, she was the leccy to my future, the heroine in my movies, i am her sidekick, she is the Queen on the chess board, we are one, intertwined yet it took time to approach her, yes you, you are all i want

Primitive

The nourished land,
The fatty livestock,
A land of milk and honey,
Swallowed whole by the avaricious beasts,
Emperors turned into puppets,
Chiefs into prison cops,
Kings into guards of treasure,
The people just but a bunch of labour,
Despicable,
Pitiful,
Ugliness,
Beautiful sceneries riddled with machineries,
The land excavated to the core,
The good,
The bad,
None of it was for the people,
The so called democracy.

Impudence

Kidnapped,
Sold to a master,
Chained, maltreated,
It was all but just a dream,
The economic dream,
Where capital was in land,
The mines, the Agricultural fields,
Bridled in one’s land,
Chained to the rhythm of whips,
The master and the servant,. Service beyond the recognizant ones,
It was neither coerced or paid,
Taken by whips, ruthlessly assaulted,
Impudence.

Prudence

Power,
Influence,
Affluence,
A totality in lack of prudence,
A vote of no confidence,
Impeccable impeachment motions,
The tooth for a tooth,
An eye for an eye,
The big fish roam the sea,
The small fish shackled and imprisoned,
Freedom to cheat,
License to steal,
The name is Diplomacy,
It’s just a route,
A formal way of protecting interests,
It’s interesting,
The people caved in,
Caged all through.

Misconception

Free,
Affordable,
A major mishap of confusion,
It was free,
Yet expensive,
Education for all,
They called it free education,
They couldn’t afford it,
Was given at prince,
Misled into dependency,
The inheritance of illiteracy,
A country littered with illiterate graduates,
Stuck on the notion of the then B. Cs,
Blind to the changing times,
Pitiful,
Doubtful,
Dishonest,
The collar mostly matters,
White,
Blue,
A big misconception,
Breach of development.

Promised

They called it freedom,
They said it’s gonna be perfect,
A promised land,
Of milk and honey,
The land of the living,
For the so called freedom,
An idea of the rule of the people,
By the people, for the avaricious,
It’s been ages,
Yet, the banks run dry,
The silos full of foul grains,
The committee of poverty at large,
Yes it’s still called the third world development.

Assassination

Independence,
From who?
From what?
It’s been decades,
A republic,
Where’s the freedom?
The fruits of struggles of our fore fathers?
Where are the promises of development,
Assassination of dreams,
The death of development,
Incomplete projects,
The idea of development,
Far fetched and wretched,
Sulking in the jaws of underdevelopment,
It’s imperfect to a fault.

Bliss

I saw her leave, with no tear rolling down her cheeks,
She said she was hurt and used,
She walked away not even beat and broken,
She was still as an oak, not stirred nor moved,
He was shocked, a little bit astonished,
Was that how break ups were, painless,
With zero drama, or may be was dreaming,
She was too calm, she was too into her,
He took a breathe and his mind flashed,
She had already left him months back,
She was no longer his few moments back,
She had fallen out of love ahe had found new love,
This was not new to him,
He knew all she wanted was a chance,
A golden opportunity on a silver platter,
To call the relationship off, to say it’s over,
He was human, he was hurting,
Yet he created the crisis the opportunity only to set her free,
He created no ruckus,
He just wanted to be alone,
In his fairy tale bliss

Blurred

It was a sunny shiny day,
The moon would shine bright,
The stars would echo in ostentatious constenations,
The day felt magical, joy and love could be smelt from miles away,
But he was all alone sat in a dark place,
Right aftet viewing the sunset on his own,
Like a lone wolf howling across the artic,
He wasn’t stranded nor lost,
He was not broken but scarred,
He was afraid, scared, may be, just may be,
What if, but forget it he would think,
The scars in him bled and his vision was blurred,
As the shooting star chased after the comet,
He saw the love the people shared,
He saw the shreds they’d become in few moments,
In his oveethinking he did know that Cupid hurt him,
He wasn’t alone just lonely,
Afraid of loving again

Symphony

It’s been days and still no sight of her,
She’s been gone for too long,
Am checking my phone constantly,
Anxious, troubled, my thoughts in disarray,
May be i am overthinking, just a may be,
I thought she loved me, may be she did,
Yes it was my all, she had it all,
It’s been hurting all along, seeing her in his arms,
Hearing her call him the pet names she used to call me,
She told me that he was just a friend,
Her best friend, he was harmless,
She left me wary and scarred,
I got constellations of scars,
Bleeding in a symphony of being hurt,
Bashful as it was, she never reminisced about us.

Ruckus

Her smile was crooked, so were her thoughts,
Love wasn’t good enough without passion,
The way she wanted it, romantic as the novelas,
The tele fairy tales, with Jade Maidens,
The Cupid’s arrow never misses she said,
It was just but her first kiss, she put responsibility on it,
Stunned and astounded left in a flabbergasted mood,
The thoughts of an unsculptured love,
A love so raw that it couldn’t be processed,
Her love factory was running out of moves,
His warehouse was out of romance,
A stalemate of love, blissful and entire wishful,
Thoughts flashed, memories entangled,
If only it was easy as it seemed,
May be she could love him right,
She hadn’t been hurt, she was a clean slate,
His ink was withering, the feather pen was inherited,
It was borrowed ink,
With a clean naive slate of a ruckus princess.

Trance

The sun wasn’t shining today,
Too cold, that i couldn’t help it,
Thoughts of you lingered in my mind,
My soul in a trance, wishful,
Hoping that I had laid my hands on you,
Imprinting my delicate fingers on your,
Voluptuous, pulchritudinous features,
Your resplendent smile, as bright as the moon,
Your wine-red lips, soaked to the brim,
A teeming thought breaking off my guards,
It’s been just a few days,
It feels like a few centuries to me,
A longing to have and to hold,
To laugh, smile,
Putting my worries away,
A thought to forever hold.
